Enslave Your Body for a Greater Purpose.

Athletes train to win a prize.  When they finally win that prize all their training has paid off; then what? They can try to win it again and again but soon because of age and other issues they can no longer win that prize that they have won so many times before.  Their purpose is lost. Their reason for training is gone.  Ya sure they can turn their focus to another prize and different way to train but that is just an endless cycle that is inevitably coming to an end.

Instead of being enslaved by the prize and a slave to winning prizes, enslave your body in such a way that no matter if you get the prize or not, that your purpose, desire, and motivation is greater than the prize; to the point where it is not about the prize.

Are You Using Your Fitness Time Wisely?

So you put all this blood sweat and tears into burning fat and building muscle over 3 months and your results are 8% burned and 4lbs of lean mass gained.  You sit back and think, good, I got some positive results.  What if I told you that you wasted more time and actually time used to get results?

Would you be willing to admit that your routine, workout, or program is not as efficient than you thought and that you did in fact waste time and effort?  If you can't admit that, you have already deceived yourself.  If you can admit to this; keep reading.

OUR REDEFINED MISSION:

What is “health” and “being true to yourself”?
To be “true” you have to be honest with yourself and honest with the reality you live in.  What is health?  Health can simply be defined as ‘a person's mental or physical condition’ in terms of being ‘free from illness or injury’.  Are you mentally healthy and free from any kind of mental illness or mental injury if you just look at yourself as a piece of flesh and meat and nothing more?  That is a very low value and standard of oneself.

You are more than flesh and bones.
If there was more to your self than just being a piece of meat bringing greater meaning and value to your health; would you be true to yourself and healthy seeing less of yourself still?  Logic and reasoning compels us to say that seeing your self less in value despite the reality of being more valuable is not being true to yourself and is a poor state of health.  So if we are worth more and greater than just the muscle we build, what else adds to the value of living and of health?  The only logical and rational choice is there has to be something outside and separate of the flesh, blood, meat, and muscle that increases the value, standard, purpose and health of all reality.  What is his additional non physical reality that complements and improves overall health? Spirituality.

Here comes what most of you will think “oh great, here comes all the jesus freak buddha loving muhammad worshiping inspirational quotes”. Nope.  The only inspirational statements we are asking you to think about are the logical ones.  Answer these:

What's the deal with the forum? Q & A

What's the deal with the forum?
That's a good question.  There are hundreds of millions of health sites out there all telling you all kinds of information.  There are hundreds of people who work for these sites or have some kind of invested interest in them.  Kinda sounds like someone trying to sale you their program or product.

What makes us different?
We make no money doing this! lol notice the sites we use.  We are like YOU.  We are you.  We are normal people using free services to help other normal people cut through the BS and sales pitches to find what works best and keep the truth out there.

Where does the forum come in?
The forum is a perfect tool to allow YOU voice your opinions and views, what works for you and what doesn't and to expose who is like a used car salesmen and who is actually wanting to help you and your health and fitness.  The Forum is your voice, your community, your support, Your way!

What about salesmen in the forum?
We expect this so we set up rules that prevent the solicitation of paid programs.  Of course they can talk about their results and how amazing it was and how it cured cancer but our Moderators will sniff out people just trying to promote a product that benefits them, and bann them ;)

Why not just only read the forum without joining?
For privacy reasons, solicitation reasons, and to protect truth; not all topics can be seen without being signed in.  Other key information for events that we host, can not be seen without signing in.  To forum a community we must also encourage and protect it.

Up and Running but uneasy.

We are up and running again.  After an inconvenient and questionable block of our blog, Blogger lifted the removal and restored it, obviously.  We are thankful that Blogger choose to restore it but that still doesn't negate or solve the original issue of why it was removed to begin with.  Blogger has been silent.

We have not received a single email from them other than their claim that it was "HATE" then that is was "SPAM".  Sense the blog being restored, we have yet to get an email explaining the 'confusion' or reason for the restoration.  This is disheartening.

He have entrusted Blogger/Google with hosting our blog and providing a reliable service.  That is now questionable.   We will keep Blogger as our host for the blog but the problem is still no resolved.  We have yet to get a reason and explanation for the whole ordeal and we are not sure if this ordeal will happen again.  Thank you for supporting us through this issue.

First Press Release

My Fall 2012 fitness

FXII

Program

"FXII Program" really just stands for "Fall '12 Program"; just being fancy.  After taking a long almost 2 months off from everything and sitting back enjoying my summer, it is about that time to get back into shape during the fall.

Program Prep

Before starting a workout program and routine there are things you need to prepare for, before jumping into the it.  Budget, Equipment, Supplements, Diet, Workout, and Schedule.

1.   Equipment:
This actually depends a lot of what kind of workouts your going to be doing.  Generally weight lifting gloves, gym shoes, shorts, and shirt, journal, stop watch (cell phone apps), a couple shaker cups, gym  bag, scale, and ipod; these are pretty basic for any kind of workout.  Chances are you already have most of this stuff but if you don't all of this stuff can cost anywhere between $150-$185

Finding Your Motivation

With out GENUINE motivation all your hard work at the gym and the goals you set wont mean a thing.  Eventually you will fade and give up.  To prevent fading and giving up motivation is key!

Each of us are motivated in different ways; you have to find what motivates you.  There are a few ways to start searching.  Ask your self WHY.  Why do you want to even get fit?  Don't BS your self and say something lame like "because i want to be healthy".  No kidding you want to be healthy but that answer doesn't get you any closer to finding GENUINE motivation.  There are 2 kinds, Inside and Outside; but there are some that seem to be motivations but aren't (pseudo-motivation).

Setting Goals

Ya we all want to lose all of our ugly fat and women want to br slim and toned while men want to ripped and swoll but realistically what is your month by month goals?  Before running to the gym or making any kind of effort for your fitness and health, you need to set monthly goals that can be examined bi-weekly.

Monthly Goals, Bi-weekly exams.
Monthly goals that can be examined bi-weekly serves very important purposes.  For one, it can validate or invalidate all your hard work so you don't bust your butt for minimal results.  You can see what is working and what is not so you can make changes to constantly see results.  Results show you what direction and pace your hard work is taking you.

Sifting through the hype & truth of P90X

There is all kinds of smack that comes from the P90X groupies and sales men.   Some of it is "sugar coated" and other s is blatant insults... yet all ignorant.  BUT does work for some people and their goals so what is TRUTH and what is HYPE?

Before we dig into the TRUTH and benefits of it, we are going to expose the HYPE and the "zombie effect" I like to call it.  I have already exposed one of the lies in a previous article; Lie #1: Actual Costs: P90X vs The GYM.  Another common lie that makes some of the groupies feel better is Lie #2: "P90X is better than going to the gym."  Lie #3: "P90X is better because I got more results from it than the gym".  The "zombie effect" is simply the egotistical results from buying into the lies and ultimately becoming a groupie or sales men.

Losing weight isn't always a 'good' thing

Some people want and need to lose weight, in some cases, a lot of weight.  Their over all health and future health depends on it.  But then there are some who are so obsessed with losing weight, even when they don't need too.

Some people want to be ripped so bad that they are willing to sacrifice lean muscle to get what they think is lean and ripped... This is kinda touched on in the article "Anorexic Ripped is not the same as Swoll Ripped". But here I am going to talk more directly about the goal of weight loss, not getting 'ripped'.

Actual Costs: P90X vs The GYM

Okay so P90X groupies and sales men keep harping on the cost savings of their workout at home over going to the gym... Attempting to do the same workouts, is there truth to their claim? Lets look at the numbers.

Keep in mind, this is a response to the P90X groupies and sales men, not the genuine people who do it because they can't leave the house for one reason or another or can't go to gym for personal reasons.  This is about truth to a claim.

All the Vitamins Your Body Needs

When people diet, they some times think they are doing good when their body weight starts going down. What they don't realize (because they are too obsessed with their total weight) is that they could be starving their body of essential vitamins and minerals.  This starvation leads to muscle and other important tissue loss!

Getting all the vitamins and minerals your body needs is actually very simple.  Yes, there are just 6 magic pills that do exactly this.

CTD's Multi-Elite, Korean Panax Ginseng, Acetyl L-Carnitine HCI, Cinnamon, Lycopene, and L-Arginine. Bam! By taking these 6 you get every single nutrient your body needs and may need depending on your level of fitness.

The combination of these give your body more vitamins and minerals than Centrum, Complete, and all the other simple multi vitamins on the market.

Who are you doing this for?

That question must be answered honestly; Who are you working out for?

If you say yourself, yet, want a beach body and no actual strength go to with the look; than looks are all  your really working hard for... The honesty behind getting the 'look' is not so complicated.  Who is doing the looking, and why the desire for an outward appearance?  The simple answer is when it comes to getting a certain look, its for others to look at.  (The example I use relates to people that are average size and average body fat and I am not talking about or referring to someones goals in relation to obesity; clearly different. )

Think about driving a Enzo Ferrari.  That car looks amazing.  It "looks" sleek, sexy, expensive, and powerful.  People who have owned or currently own one put in some hard work for the cost of that "look".

Putting CTD's "Adrenal Reset" to the test

After months of taking pre-work outs on and off the began to be less effective.  I would not get the same kind of energy, pumps, and general stimulation from them anymore.  So after my last cycle of JetFuse pre-work out i decided to not only take a break but also try CTD's Adrenal Reset that is suppose to help with this problem.

2 weeks after I stopped taking pre-work outs and started to strictly follow the dosing instructions of Adrenal Reset I figured i would give a pre-workout a try to see how they effect me after only 2 weeks of Adrenal.  This is not recommended but I wanted to know if it was anything any kind of minor effect.

Burn Fat Build Muscle Summer 2012

For the longest time I could not do both effectively and efficiently .  I would either gain a lot of muscle and lose little fat or I would lose a lot of fat and gain little muscle.  Finally I think I have discovered a routine that does both effectively and efficiently.  After weeks of consistent testing, note taking, and data recording here it is.

I will posted my updated and finalized routine shortly. Until then, here are the results I got!

My results: Week 1 (updated)

Drinking VS Workingout

Exactly what the title says.  These two activities are at odds with each other.  So lets look at this logically.
  1. 12 oz Beer its on average 150 Calories and about 8 grams of carbs.
  2. No one who drinks just drinks 1 beer.  So to be fair, we'll say 2.5 beers.
  3. 30 oz beer is about 375 calories and about 24 grams of carbs.
  4. The liver stresses over the alcohol toxin and it dehydrates the body; slows muscle growth and repair.
(source, source 2)

  • 85 grams of FRENCH FRIES are 271 calories (source)
Now why would Beer and Working out be at odds with each other? Because French Fries are slightly more healthy than drinking!!!  Watching your diet, while drinking a beer... is a logical contradiction not to mention it will neutralize a lot of your hard work at the gym.

Here is also a nice article (where i got the picture from) that talks about it as well http://fitnessofwealth.com/alcohol-p90
