Sifting through the hype & truth of P90X

There is all kinds of smack that comes from the P90X groupies and sales men.   Some of it is "sugar coated" and other s is blatant insults... yet all ignorant.  BUT does work for some people and their goals so what is TRUTH and what is HYPE?

Before we dig into the TRUTH and benefits of it, we are going to expose the HYPE and the "zombie effect" I like to call it.  I have already exposed one of the lies in a previous article; Lie #1: Actual Costs: P90X vs The GYM.  Another common lie that makes some of the groupies feel better is Lie #2: "P90X is better than going to the gym."  Lie #3: "P90X is better because I got more results from it than the gym".  The "zombie effect" is simply the egotistical results from buying into the lies and ultimately becoming a groupie or sales men.

Lie #1: "P90X is cheaper than the gym":

After comparing the actual costs and the duration of usage... that is a flat out lie.  Check the previous article for more in depth explanation. Actual Costs: P90X vs The GYM

Lie #2: "P90X is better than going to the gym."

This pathetic lie can be simply exposed by using common logic.  Get ready for this rocket science...

1. The gym has everything P90X uses...
2. You can do all the same workouts as P90X at the gym...
THEREFORE: The gym can do everything P90X can do (plus more).
THEREFORE: You can get the exact same results at the gym, using P90X, (plus more).
THERE FORE: P90X is not better.

Lie #3:  "P90X is better because I got more results from it than the gym"

This just piggy backs off the logic of Lie #2.  Here are the issues with that idea (lie).

1. Runners lose more weight, have lower body fat, and are typically weight less... from just running.  Does that make just running better than P90X? No.
2. Most IFBB PRO body builders don't currently use P90X to get massive and super lean.  Does that make P90X worse? No.
3. Current UFC and top MMA professionals around the world do not use P90X to cut weight or prepare for a fight.  Does that make P90X worse? No.

Of course the groupies argument will be "well the guys the invented it and do were/are mma people and body builders!"  LOL Ya, and Randy Couture uses his cute door gym (Tower 200) in preparation of his fights.. not.  Or Chuck Liddell's "JACKRACK"...They have a product and sell it but do not use it nor do his fighters under his training... Whats your point again?  Of course there are videos and pictures and interviews of them showing and talking about how they use it... of coures they will... their trying to sell it.

Why then to people get better results from P90X than going to the gym?  That is a person issue of consistency, dedication, intensity, and diet during both.  Its not the gyms fault you didn't hit your goals when billions of other people do daily at the gym.  P90X or the gym have nothing to do with that and to think that they do, is illogical and ignorant.

The "ZOMBIE EFFECT"

This is when someone finally hits their goals and think they know everything about fitness including everything about every kind of routine, workout, and product;  They then follow their only working fitness program religiously and push it like car sales men. They will tell the world the lies listed above because they are blindly zombiefied and have become the programs groupie.

This holds true for not only fitness programs but also fitness products and typically they are connected.  For example; P90X has groupies who have bought into this "zombie effect".  They will push P90X like its better than Jesus himself, and push its products simply because it's related to P90X and not because they even know how well it works for them.  They will do a few workouts and think its amazing, without ever getting the results they wont.  Some will get the results they want, plus have negative effects, but still push how amazing it was.  They will try the products once, and think they are awesome, without ever knowing the products final effect.

To sum it up; These people religiously follow and praise the program and product before even finishing it, and praise the program even after getting negative results.

There are a few things to really watch out for.  These ARE the results if you DO NOT strictly follow the program.  How do I know this? Because I follow closely to everyone close to me who has attempted and completed P90X.

1. You will BURN MUSCLE with fat.
2. Your weight loss will be healthy weight as well.
3. You will NOT gain a substantial amount of muscle.  Just looking rippled, doesn't also mean you gained a ton of muscle.  Just ask the body builders why they don't do this instead of lift.
