Are You Using Your Fitness Time Wisely?

So you put all this blood sweat and tears into burning fat and building muscle over 3 months and your results are 8% burned and 4lbs of lean mass gained.  You sit back and think, good, I got some positive results.  What if I told you that you wasted more time and actually time used to get results?

Would you be willing to admit that your routine, workout, or program is not as efficient than you thought and that you did in fact waste time and effort?  If you can't admit that, you have already deceived yourself.  If you can admit to this; keep reading.

After research and close personal observations some times the popular home workout routines are actually wasting more time than actually being efficient use of it.   Heres why:

A) 3 months: 90 days of controlled dieting and sweat filled home workouts and noticeable results.  Burning between 400 to 800 calories and getting the feeling of being all sore and worked out.  Sounds good hu?  of course it does.  The typical and average best results are a loss of 10% body fat.  Doing the math thats actually 3.3% fat loss a month at best.  The typical and average minimal results are a loss of 7% body fat, 2.3% loss of fat a month.  Sounds and looks legit right?

B) in 1 month, I burned 7% body fat and gained 5 lbs of lean mass.  Keeping up with that program I came up with (that constantly changes preventing my body to adjust to it), in 2 months I would have burned 14% body fat and gained 10 lbs of lean mass.  In 3 months i would guess i could burn close to or more than 20%, and maybe gain around or over 14 lbs of lean mass.

If we just look at the actual 1 month results; which was a better use of fitness time?

1)  SUPPLEMENT COSTS:
Now lets look at the costs as well.  If both A and B use supplements guess who has to by more supplements?  A does.  Because A takes 3 times more time, 3 times more supplements get used.  Most supplements only last 1 month.  If A & B spend $75 a month, than in the end, A spends 2 times more than B.

B is cheaper in supplement costs.

2)  RESULTS:
If results are the purpose and B gets the same results that A gets, 2 times sooner, that means more results can be gained using B in the same time period as A.  That means A wastes 2 times more time and effort than B.

B gets the same results faster

3)  REQUIRED TOOLS:
Seeing as how both A and B require some fitness tools, what is the difference?  A at times need different kinds of tools like bars, dumbbells, open space, tv, dvds, and more.  B just requires a journal book, and dumbbells.  Logically B requires less tools to get more results faster.

B requires less tools to accomplish more.

4)  GENERAL COSTS:
Going the legal rout and not breaking any federal laws A and B both have other costs associated with the programs. A requires a video series, diet plans, tools, and more that can cost over $150, over a 3 month period thats the same as $50 a month.  B requires basic gym access.  Apartment gyms with a friend is free.  College gyms for students are free.  The gyms would then provide all the dumbbells needed.  A gym membership is $25 a month.

To complete program A, it would cost $50 a month for 3 months or simply $150.  To complete program B, it would cost $25 a month, for 1 month or simply $25 for the same results as A.

B is cheaper in general for achieving the same results.

So ask your self, what makes more sense; Program A or program B? DUH.

Why in the heck would people want to do a program that wastes more time, more money, and more effort for the same results as a cheaper, faster, and more efficient one?

This is a problem of an unhealthy mindset.  Being hardheaded or ignorant.
